How to Make a New Year's Resolution Stick

Here's a super-easy New Year's project.

Ever wanted to make a New Year's resolution stick? It's fun and easy!

First, find a stick -- one that's not too long, not too short, not too thin, not too stout. If it's dirty or crusted with guck, clean it up. Now if you want, go ahead and varnish it or paint it or cover it with glitter and geegaws. Or leave it raw and natural.

Now say: "I christen thee my New Year's Resolution Stick."

That's it!

(Please don't strike yourself with your stick, and do not aim it at your eye.)

(Vets now recommend not throwing sticks for dogs, as they can cause trauma to their mouths and throats.)

(Sticks not intended for children younger than twelve.)
